Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of
the Ten Mill Limitation
County of Lucas
Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal)
Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of
a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Lucas, Ohio, passed on the 15th day of July, 2025, there will be
submitted to a vote of the people at the GENERAL ELECTION to be
held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of
November, 2025, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten
mill limitation for the benefit of the County of Lucas for the
purpose of support of children services and the care and placement
of children. Tax being a renewal of tax of 1.8 mills at a rate not
exceeding 1.8 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to
$39 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised
value, for 5 years, commencing in 2025, first due in calendar year
2026.
The estimated annual collections of this levy is
$14,069,600.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and
remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
