Notice of Election on Tax Levy in Excess of
the Ten Mill Limitation
Jerusalem Township
Proposed Tax Levy (Renewal and Increase)
Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of
a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Township of Jerusalem,
Ohio, passed on the 14th day of July, 2025, there will be submitted
to a vote of the people at the GENERAL ELECTION to be held at the
regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 2025,
the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation
for the benefit of Jerusalem Township for the purpose of road
repairs and maintenance. Tax being a renewal of a tax of 1.0 mill
and an increase of 2.0 mills at a rate not exceeding 3.0 mills for
each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $90 for each $100,000 of
the county auditor’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing
in 2025, first due in calendar year 2026.
The estimated annual collections of this levy is $280,000.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and
remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
