Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of
a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Township of Sylvania,
Ohio, passed on the 7th day of May, 2025, there will be submitted
to a vote of the people at the GENERAL ELECTION to be held at the
regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 4th day of November, 2025,
the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten mill limitation
for the benefit of Sylvania Township for the purpose of operation
of the Sylvania Senior Center. Tax being an additional tax of 0.5
mil at a rate not exceeding 0.5 mil for each $1 of taxable value,
which amounts to $18 for each $100,000 of the county
auditor’s appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2025,
first due in calendar year 2026.
The estimated annual collections of this levy is $1,099,511.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
