Sealed bids will be received online through
Bid Express by the City of Sylvania via the Department of Public
Service, until 11:00 AM, DECEMBER 19th, 2025 for furnishing all
labor, materials and equipment necessary for the following project:
LUC-VAR-SYLVANIA PHBS (PID 122182)
This project consists of the removal of four
(4) existing rectangular rapid flashing beacon installations and
replacing with new pedestrian hybrid beacon signal crossings.
Includes new sidewalk, traffic control signs, a pavement marking.
Bidding Documents are available online at https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/87307/home. All formal bids shall be submitted using the electronic bidding process on Bid Express. All potential bidders must first register on www.bidexpress.com and create an Info Tech Digital ID for free. It can take up to twenty-four (24) hours to process your Digital ID.
All Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the type of work required by this project.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal, and list the City of Sylvania and State of Ohio, Department of Transportation as bond obligees.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Lucas County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce.
The City of Sylvania reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids submitted on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in the accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any successful bidder against the City of Sylvania.
