Sealed proposals marked for
“LUC-BAY SHORE RD AND OTTER CREEK RD
ROADWAY DEPARTURE IMPROVEMENTS (PID 123994)” will be
received by the City of Oregon, OH, at the Office of the Director
of Public Service at the Oregon Municipal Building, 5330 Seaman Rd,
Oregon, OH 43616-2608,
until 10:00 am, local time, on Wednesday,
January 28, 2026, and then opened and read aloud.
The proposed work consists of installing edge line and
center line rumble stripes, dynamic, flashing chevrons, RPMs, and
updated signage on 0.55 miles of Otter Creek Rd and Bay Shore Rd.
The project will also include striping. Alternate A includes
installing 1.7 miles of edge line rumble stripes and 0.31 miles of
center line rumble stripes on Cedar Point Rd. Alternate B includes
installing 1.54 miles of center line rumble stripes on Cedar Point
Rd.
All bids must be made on the proposal forms, which with the
contract documents, including Specifications and Bid Forms are on
file at the office of the Director of Public Service, 5330 Seaman
Rd, Oregon, OH 43616. A set may be obtained by depositing $25.00,
check only, with the Office of the Director of Public Service.
Checks must be made payable to the City of Oregon. Deposits are
non-refundable.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid
Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the
Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be
issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of
Ohio to provide said surety.
Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or
parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein.
Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of
similar size and complexity.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project
will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials,
services, and labor in the implementation of their project.
Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment
opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is
required.
Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements
contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor
Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements,
various equal opportunity provisions; and the requirements for a
performance bond or a bid guaranty and contract bond for 100% of
the contract price.
This project is classified as a Local Public Agency project
with the City of Oregon Administering the project and the Ohio
Department of Transportation providing project oversight. Only ODOT
pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this
project.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after
the actual date of the opening thereof. The Council of the City of
Oregon, OH, reserves the right to waive any informalities or to
reject any or all bids.
The estimate for the base bid cost of construction is
$84,000.
