NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals
marked for “
LUC-CORDUROY ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT (PID
119725)” will be received by the City of Oregon, OH,
at the Office of the Director of Public Service at the Oregon
Municipal Building, 5330 Seaman Road, Oregon, OH 43616-2608,
until 10:00 am, local time, on Thursday,
February 5, 2026, and then opened and read aloud.
Project includes replacing the Corduroy Road Bridge over
Otter Creek with a 28-ft span precast reinforced concrete
three-sided flat-top structure with concrete wingwalls on capped
pile foundations, along with approximately 0.04 miles of approach
roadway improvements, drainage, pavement, erosion control,
maintenance of traffic, and related work.
Bidding Documents may be examined during normal office hours
at the Public Service Office, 5330 Seaman Rd., Oregon, OH 43616.
All bids must be made on the proposal forms, which with the
contract documents, including Specifications and Bid Forms must be
obtained from Newfax Corp., Inc., 333 West Woodruff Ave., Toledo,
OH 43604, P (419) 241-5157, Mon. - Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Contact Newfax Corporation for cost of documents. Deposits are
non-refundable.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid
Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the
Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be
issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of
Ohio to provide said surety.
Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements
contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor
Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements,
various equal opportunity provisions; and the requirements for a
performance bond or a bid guaranty and contract bond for 100% of
the contract price.
This project is classified as a Local Public Agency project
with the City of Oregon Administering the project and the Ohio
Department of Transportation providing project oversight. Only ODOT
pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this
project
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after
the actual date of the opening thereof. The Council of the City of
Oregon, OH, reserves the right to waive any informalities or to
reject any or all bids.
The estimate for the base bid cost of construction is
$1,260,000.00.
