NOTICE TO BIDDERS
ONLINE PROPOSALS for Glass City Metropark Mini Maumee Water Play Underground Vault Equipment Replacement, City of Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio will be received until Monday, January 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. local time, at which time all bids will be publically opened / shared through the PlanetBids website.
THE SCOPE OF WORK consists of selective demolition of the existing water damaged mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and the furnishing and installation of in-kind replacements to re-establish functionality of the Mini Maumee water feature and supporting systems within the underground vault. Two mandatory pre-bid on-site meetings will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on January 16, 2026 and January 20th, 2026. Prospective bidders need only attend one of the two scheduled meetings.
In accordance with R.C. 307.87 this notice is available on, and Bidders may obtain contract documents/ additional information at, www.metroparkstoledo.com/bids and following the Current Opportunities link.
SUBMISSION: Bids for this Project will be accepted via e-bid only through the Metroparks’ PlanetBids portal. Each bidder shall be responsible for submitting its electronic bid before the bid deadline. All paper bids will be rejected unless, in its sole discretion, the Metroparks determines good causes exists to accept the paper bid, and the bid is submitted before the bid deadline.
EACH BIDDER MUST FURNISH a bid guaranty either in the form of (1) a bond for the full amount of the bid or (2) a certified check, cashier’s check or irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid with its bid. The successful bidder must furnish a 100 percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond.
No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
THE BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS OF THE METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT OF THE TOLEDO AREA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in bidding.
