School District in Excess of the Ten Mill Limitation

Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of
the Board of Education of Springfield Local School District, of the
County of Lucas, Ohio, passed on the 28th day of January, 2026,
there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the PRIMARY
ELECTION to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the
5th day of May, 2026, the question of levying a tax, in excess of
the ten mill limitation, which shall be an additional tax, for the
benefit of Springfield Local School District for the purpose of
providing funds for current expenses at a rate not exceeding 3.9
mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $137 for each
$100,000 of the county auditor’s market value, for a
continuing period of time, commencing in 2026, first due in
calendar year 2027.
The estimated annual collection of this levy is $4,211,047.
The carry-over balance in the district’s general
operating budget from the preceding fiscal year exceeds the
district’s general fund expenditures in the amount of $0,
which is 0% of expenditures.
The polls for the election will be open at 6:30 a.m. and
remain open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
