NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Electronic bids only for the
“City of Oregon Sidewalk Improvement
Project” will be received by the Lucas County Board of
Commissioners (on behalf of the City of Oregon) via BidExpress,
until 1:00 pm on June 4, 2026, and then at said time opened and
read aloud through Zoom at 2:00 pm.
Bid documents, technical specifications and drawings are
available for download online at
https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/47219/home.
In order to bid, bidders must register as a vendor via the Lucas
County website.
This project is funded by the Ohio Department of
Development’s PY2024 CDBG Allocation Program. Estimated total
project cost: $150,000.
Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an
amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the
Lucas County Board of Commissioners or by certified check,
cashier’s check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in
the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the
Lucas County Board of Commissioners. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied
by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond.
Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements
contained in the bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor
Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance
requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the
requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the
contract price. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within thirty
(30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Lucas
County reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject
any or all bids or accept any bid for both labor and material for
such improvements without disclosure of reason and to determine the
lowest and best bidder in the aggregate.
