NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals marked
for “2026 Sidewalk Project and Miscellaneous Concrete
Work” will be received by the City of Oregon, OH, at the
Office of the Director of Public Service at the Oregon Municipal
Building, 5330 Seaman Road, Oregon, OH 43616, until 2:00 P.M.,
local time, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, and immediately
thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the
removal, replacement, and installation of 6-inch and 8-inch-thick
concrete sidewalk, driveway apron, concrete curb, grading and
seeding, and all related work. The driveway and curb work, in
general, will take place at several residential locations and at
one commercial location.
Bidding Documents may be examined during normal office hours
at the office of the Director of Public Service, 5330 Seaman Road,
Oregon, OH 43616. All bids must be made on the proposal forms,
which with the contract documents, including Specifications and Bid
Forms must be obtained from Newfax Corporation, Inc., 333 West
Woodruff Avenue, Toledo, OH 43604, Phone (419) 241-5157, Fax (419)
241-2018, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contact
Newfax Corporation for cost of documents. Deposits are
non-refundable.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid
Guaranty and Contract Bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount in
accordance with Section 153.54 of the OH Revised Code and the
Information To Bidders. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall
be satisfactory to the City and be issued by a Surety Company or
Corporation licensed in the State of OH to provide said surety.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public
improvements in Lucas County and the City of Oregon, OH as
determined by the OH Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour
Division.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after
the actual date of the opening thereof. The Council of the City of
Oregon, OH, reserves the right to waive any informalities or to
reject any or all bids.
