SEALED PROPOSALS for bidding on Metroparks Toledo, 2026 / 2027 Pine Timber Sale, Oak Openings Preserve Metropark will be received; opened; and read aloud at the Metroparks Toledo, Fallen Timbers Field Office, 6101 Fallen Timbers Lane, Maumee, Ohio 43537, Friday, November 6, 2026, at 2 P.M., local time
THE SCOPE OF WORK: Metroparks Toledo, Division of Natural Resources, 6101 Fallen Timbers Lane, Maumee, Ohio 43537, offers Pine Timber for sale, on approximately 72 acres, to bonded & insured commercial timber purchasing / Ohio Forestry Association Master Logging operations. The terms of sale are “Pay-As-Cut”. All timber is located within the Oak Openings Preserve Metropark, Lucas Co., Ohio.
This sale is intended to:
Salvage timber from dead and collapsed pine stands
Restore Oak Openings habitat
Promote the health and vigor of culturally significant White Pine legacy stands.
Bidders may obtain copies of the Pine Sale Bid Prospectus via an email attachment by contacting LaRae Sprow, Natural Resource Director at 419-779-6047, Larae.sprow@metroparkstoledo.com.
EACH BIDDER MUST FURNISH a bid deposit of $5,000.00 with their completed bid form. Personal or company checks are acceptable. The successful bidder shall submit a performance bond in an amount equal to $10,000.00 at the contract signing.
No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
THE BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS OF THE METROPOLITAN PARK DISTRICT OF THE TOLEDO AREA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in bidding.
